Well, it's about time I get to blog again! Geesh! It's already almost July, and summer is getting into full swing, which means not much computer time for me. Seems the humans are always coming and going to ball games and such or outside playing in the giant dog bowl! I have begged and pleaded to get in there, but they won't let me. My hair is too long! Your nails could tear the liner! That's gross!.....These are all the excuses they give me! Not fair I say! Looks to me like the man would just rather hang on to his beer float than worry about poor me and how hot I am! Who agrees?

Hey there fellow pups! I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather that's been upon us lately. I have got to spend more time outside running and playing without being leashed which is a good thing. I guess if I listen and stay in my own yard that is the reward to me. It's kinda fun, chasing the kids, and sniffing all the lovely spring smells! The bad part is of course as I have stated before, I am an allergic kind of dog. Those delicious smells always cause me to have a drippy nose and itchy tummy. Probably got to start taking medicine again real soon I imagine. Oh well. I hope everyone is having a great start to spring and wish everyone a Happy Easter ( just remember....no chocolate bunnies, but you can chase after the real ones!)

So yesterday was Valentine's Day. Did anyone else expect a little more from the day than what they got? I thought it would be like Christmas, but no...no stockings...no little fat man coming down the chimney...no platters full of food...just some candy (for the kids..not me) and stuffed animals (ok so I do like the stuffed animals). It did seem that I might have gotten a few extra snuggles which I liked, but I still think I deserved candy. A pretty thing like me should have a hundreds of valentines lining up for me. I bet the recent snow storms kept them away. That has to be it!

WHOOO HOOOO!
We are getting lots of snow! Blizzard conditions even.....whiteouts and all! Everyone is home today. No school for the kids and dad is coming home cause it was too dangerous to finish the drive to work and of course mom is home cause the kids are home! Plenty of people around today to guarantee chicken treats! I haven't played out in it yet to have new pictures for you but I will! ( I did already eat some of the new snow before anyone turns it yellow of course)
My grandma and grandpa are supposed to get 15 inches of snow maybe. Now that is nothing to some of the dogs in New York I hear, but we'll take it! Happy Snow Day!

SNOW!!!!!!!!

Yeah! They are calling for more snow tonite and tomorrow and we are getting very excited. I am hoping for lots and lots and that just maybe the kids will want me to go sledding with them this time. I have seen pics of dogs skateboarding and surfing so I figure why not sledding? I'll let you know how it goes if they will let me join.

My kids didn't have school today so they kept me company but you know...it's not the same as when mom is home cause the darn kids didn't give me one single chicken treat! I should leave something tasty for them in their beds tonite. Hmmmmmm.

Good morning everydog! It's another lazy day around here today. Mom is still in her pj's and the kids are playing playstation so I have just been kinda laying around. My silly dad is doing something called ice fishing....no clue why you would fish for ice but ok. Seems kinda boring and a little cold to just sit and fish for ice. Mom says she would rather watch paint dry which must be true because I saw her do that last weekend come to think of it. Hmmmm...humans are strange indeed! Since I dont' have anything exciting on my "to do" list today I think I will go take my 3rd nap of the day. Happy Sunday!

I'm Back!

It's been so long since I was allowed to get on here and tell everyone how life has been lately.

We have gotten some more snow in the past week, but it has been really too cold for a delicate golden like myself to really enjoy it too much. Even my kids haven't wanted to be out in it much lately. I am pretty excited though cause they said more might be coming for this next week too and one can never truly have enough snow on the ground I have decided. Mom says she agrees!

I have been getting to go for more car rides lately cause I guess mom feels guilty about how much time I have been stuck inside with her lately. I wouldn't mind going outside for a brief walk in the cold but she wants no part of that apparently. She says I am not a snow dog like my friends Macie and Malechai are. But I hear even they have become kind of partial to the warm house too!

Well I hope everyone is having a nice winter and that all of you get a very nice Valentines Day treat! Just remember....NO CHOCOLATE...although yummy chicken treats sound heavenly!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE! It finally snowed here this week so it is really looking like Christmastime now. I wonder what Santa will bring me cause I have been a very good dog this year! Here are some pictures of my kids in the snow. I had already come inside because it was very cold outside and I don't really like the snow that freezes between my toes. I love everything else about it though.

Finally Friday! Yeah! I am so happy it is Friday cause that means my family will be home more with me! It seems that lately I have had to spend so much time alone! Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed the extra napping and quiet time, but sometimes a girl just gets lonely! They never really leave anything good laying around to eat and the girl has been keeping a tight lock on the bedroom door so no tasty Happy Meal toys for me lately either. GEESH! Oh well maybe tomorrow!

I'm not very happy! My mom baked a chicken tonite for dinner for everyone...but me! I tried to stare her down and look most pathetic as this usually results in some tasty treats for me, but it didn't work this time. I had to wait until after they had ate almost all of it and had moved on to the tv for the night and then I went to work. Work digging in the trash can to find those yummy pieces of chicken skin she threw away. Can you believe it? She just threw those away and here I was staring at her looking oh so beautiful and curly! Someday I am going to remember to lick my lips before I go into the living room and join them. I always forget and give myself away! Now the garbage bag is tied up and I'm left to eat dog food...again....same as dinner last night! Oh well, better luck next time. Happy chicken dreams to everyone!

It's me again...finally! I know it has been a long time since I updated but I just haven't had the time. What have I been up to you ask? Mostly just enjoying this changing weather around here. I am not sure what is going on, but those crunchy things keep falling from the giant sticks in my yard and I like to run and play in them and oh my....the smells...those beautiful, fragrant, delicious smells!!!!!!!! I just lose control of myself. I also just found out today that I have been nominated as Photo of the Month at www.dogswithblogs.com.au/. Some things to do on a gloomy day....

lay on the couch and take a long nap
sigh long and often
demand attention
go outside every 10 minutes or so and do absolutely nothing
come in and tell parents what a good girl you are (even though you did no business while outside)
eat a little, drink a little

climb on bed and sigh then take another nap

wake up and go into girls room for a little "shopping"

get yelled at for buying too much stuff in the girls room

grumble and lay down again

wake up and start over at the top

See this tongue? My mom says that I have the fastest tongue in the world! I can have you licked quick as a hummingbird...yes I can! I don't mean to be rude...it's just cause I love you!
My family doesn't seem to mind that I am this way, but not everyone is understanding and then my feelings get hurt...but not to fear cause I am not one to give up so easily. I am going to give you kisses one way or another so get over it!

OK so I have been tagges a couple of times now so I am going to give you my best list as to what makes a good doggie friend.

When your feet are cold you can put them under my belly for warmth.
If you are sad, I have good ears for listening.
When you are too full to finish dinner...I can help! (oh PLEASE let me help!)
I make sure my mom never is alone...I am everywhere she is!
I believe that family is everything...without them where would I be.

So there you have it. Hey I am an emotional type girl. Must be the hormones!

Yawn.......I'm so sleepy!
sigh.........that is how I feel right now! My mom and the kids took me today to the "Dog Park". This is a place that is fenced in all around so that I cannot get into trouble...much. It actually was pretty nice to get to run around and not be yelled at every other second to come back. There was some other dogs to play with or just some others to sniff my butt! Could there noses have gotten any further up my butt! It was like I had a liver snap up there or something!
My kids brought a ball and frisbee for me to fetch....they think cause I am a "retriever" that I want to retrieve or something...not! I'm not stupid. I know if I go get it they are only going to throw the darn thing again! Who's the stupid one there? Gotta go, a girl needs her beauty rest.

What is that delicious smell?
Well the rain finally stopped today so I was able to go outside and lay in the grass and do one of my most favorite things in the whole wide world....Nothing! Nothing but sniffing the air, looking for squirrels and rabbits, barking at people who are walking by my house..... Unfortunately with this nicer weather comes allergies and boy am I allergic! All this good stuff to smell and it all just gives me a rash! The lady is always shoving medicine into the back of my throat and then holding my mouth shut so tight I can barely breathe. Then acts like she just did me a favor! I have to admit though, I do feel better after she does this. I can't eat some of my favorite snacks, spring time is really rough and I really don't like it when she brings that silly tree into the house for Christmas! Does anyone else out there have this problem too? If so give me a shout out!

Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I am 2 years old and beautiful.......yes I am a little conceited, but wouldn't you be too! I live with my mom and dad and I have 2 kids! Oh how I love to torment the 2 kids! Especially the little girl! She has so many yummy things to eat (Has anyone else tasted all the great McDonald's Happy Meal toys! Oh my gosh they're delicious!) Not to mention all the other stuff I find in her room. The woman around here refers to this technique as "shopping". My boy thinks I am the best! He always wants to fluff my curlies he says! Whatever that means! I just wish he would quit kissing me so much!!!!!!!!!! Yuck....boy breath!
